October 17, 2006: And so... it begins.

Bey & Emerald is kind of a new endeavor for me... I originally came up with the plotline for a full-fledged comic book, but knew that there was no way that I'd ever actually draw it all... it would be a huge amount of work and I'd constantly be redoing it.

But as a webcomic, I could do it panel by panel, slowly working through the story and getting better at it. Sure, with any luck by the time I'm done I'll hate the original panels, but that's life. Anyway, I have a rather long plotline already written up for this comic, so plot won't be nearly as much of a problem as finding time to draw it all.

The quality is likely to be well below my usual standards, but I do not want to spend a huge amount of time on each panel... I'll burn out for certain. Here's hoping folks will actually like it.
